European Anti-Racism Network (EARN) Conference

On November 1st,2nd and 3rd 2002 the European Anti Racism Network conference was held in Egmond, the Netherlands. The conference was organised by us in cooperation with TIE Netherlands, the Black Workers for Justice from the United Kingdom and a group of trade unionists of the French trade union SUD Rail.
The conference is completed and was a great success. Approximately 60 participants from the United Kingdom, France, Poland, the United States and the Netherlands discussed and exchanged experiences.

Who was the conference directed at?
The conference was directed at black and migrant trade unionists from different European trade unions and other migrants who are involved in anti-racism and equal opportunity policy.
Objectives of the conference
- to empower black and migrant trade unionists within their trade union as well as their work environment;
- to learn from each other’s knowledge and experiences in building up and executing equal opportunity policy;
- to set up an European network of black and migrant trade unionists.
